Course Overview
This City & Guilds Level 3 course is designed for public and private sector employees who are at risk of physical attack in the workplace from patients or service users, e.g. staff working within mental health settings or security services. Brooks Jordan delivers the course over 10 hours, which can be on a full or part time basis. The course is competency-based and students will be tested in their ability to apply the techniques they have learned. Students that achieve the required pass rate will be awarded a City & Guilds Level 3 vocational qualification certificate that is accredited through the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.
Course Aims
The course aims to give candidates the knowledge and skills they need to identify, assess and resolve a conflict situation. They will be taught to cope with physical attacks to themselves and others by safely using a range of skills to avoid or disengage from holds, grabs and strikes.
