CIEH Personal Safety/Lone Working training course from Brooks Jordan

Course Overview

This one-day course is designed for public and private sector employees who want their staff to obtain a thorough grounding in the principles of personal safety and conflict resolution as well as how to minimise the risks of working alone.  The course is competency-based and follows a syllabus set by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).  Brooks Jordan delivers the course over a single day, concluding with a multiple choice assessment questionnaire.  Students that achieve the required pass rate will be awarded a Level 2 vocational qualification certificate that is issued by the CIEH and accredited through the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.

This nationally accredited course combines Lone working / Personal Safety / Conflict Resolution & an introduction to Disengagement / Breakaway skills in just one days training.

The course therefore represents excellent value and ideal for those delegates who have not undergone any previous training in Lone Working as if can be followed up with more intense Conflict Resolution & Physical intervention training in the form of refreshers courses in the future

• The concepts of a safe working environment and how the risk of conflict can be assessed
• How to use appropriate methods to defuse a confrontational situation
