Chris Jordan
Chris has extensive experience in local authority law enforcement. For several years, he has worked within a team of specialist officers dealing with issues of consumer fraud in a Trading Standards Special Investigations Unit.
Chris currently works full time for Brooks Jordan but is still actively engaged in enforcement occasionally providing consultancy services & training in the field of law enforcement for both Local & Central government departments.
With his calm and reflective manner, Chris is an ideal person to present training courses on managing conflict, violence and aggression.
Jon Brooks
With 18 years of police service, of which five years were spent on a specialist unit dealing with managing violence, Jon is no stranger to dealing with conflict and aggression. Jon is trained as a firearms officer and was for a time deployed by his force as a body-guard with responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of a senior politician.
Jon also spent several years as a full time officer on the Police training unit training Police officers in Personal Safety & Conflict Resolution.
Matthew Clempner
Matt has recently retired from the Police force after serving over twenty years as a national Personal Safety & Conflict Resolution trainer. With extensive experience in managing violence and aggression, Matt brings a diverse range of skills and expertise to the team. Respected worldwide as a martial arts and personal safety expert, Matt is a leading expert in all matters relating to self-defence and the use of reasonable force. As an Accepted Professional Witness, he is regularly called upon by the courts to provide legal opinions and evidence in these matters.
Matt is a National Personal Safety Trainer for several major organisations and is also a Home Office Certificated Trainer, Home Office Qualified Trainer of Trainers and a NLP Master Practitioner. He brings to Brooks Jordan a suite of skills that is unrivalled within the field of conflict resolution and personal safety training.
Chris Heath (MSc. DipCOT DipCRI SROT)
A trained Occupational Health Therapist, Chris Heath is our lead trainer on physical intervention skills. Chris is currently employed by the NHS and previously enjoyed an active and distinguished career in the academic world. Having spent two years researching the causes of violence and aggression and lecturing in anger management at Liverpool University, Chris brings expertise and academic rigour to the Brooks Jordan team. He has first-hand experience of working in secure psychiatric units and has often been called upon to act as an expert advisor in legal proceedings around physical intervention issues.
Julie Miller (BA Hons DTS)
Julie has been with Brooks Jordan since its inception. Often in demand to provide training to women’s groups, she provides a valuable female perspective on the safety issues that women face in today’s society. Educated to degree level Julie also holds the Diploma in Trading Standards qualification and has spent many years in local authority management. Julie is no stranger to violence and aggression and has worked alongside Chris Jordan in Special Investigations work.
Her management experience makes Julie ideally suited to administering the company’s Quality Assurance systems required for our accredited courses.
Ian Cresswell (BSc Hons.)
As a serving police officer for over 15 years, Ian specialises in officer safety training, unarmed defensive tactics and communication skills. Ian is a National Tactical Public Order trainer and a Home Office approved police trainer with several years experience of providing personal safety training with Brooks Jordan.
