About Brooks Jordan – personal safety and conflict resolution trainers

Experience – there’s no substitute for it

All Brooks Jordan staff draw on their substantial knowledge and expertise, gained from their working backgrounds, when delivering our training courses.  Our lead trainers have all worked in law enforcement, the security industry or local government, and several are still employed in these fields, or provide consultancy work and training to law enforcement agencies.  Several of our trainers have over 30 years of experience in teaching courses in personal safety, conflict resolution, self-defence and physical intervention.

Each member of our team is always up to date on the latest theories, methods and rules that surround our core subject areas.  So you’ll never be taught outdated material at Brooks Jordan, and you won’t be trained by anyone who doesn’t have first-hand, real-life experience of dealing with violence and aggression whilst remaining professional at all times.

Qualifications

All our personal safety and conflict resolution trainers are certified to deliver the NHS Security Management Service National Syllabus.

Other qualifications held by our trainers include:

  • City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Conflict Resolution certificates, including Level 3 Physical Intervention Techniques (security level).
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Teacher / Trainer certificates.
  • Black belts in several martial arts disciplines.
  • Self-defence instructor certificate.
  • Several of our staff are also NLP Master Practitioners.

These qualifications allow us to deliver a range of courses leading to formal awards.  We are the only institution that is accredited to deliver the BTec Level 5 Professional Level Personal Safety & Conflict Resolution award, which is part of a 5 year training programme run by the National Association of Licensing Enforcement Officers (NALEO).
